♨️ St. John’s Provide Friars a Loss on Saturday 92-81 ♨️

🔴Posh Alexander - 31 min, 21 pts, 4 assists, 1 st, 3 TO

Alexander was very aggressive in the first half. He was hitting deep 3s and he was driving to the basket with determination. He was complimented by his teammate Julian Champagnie who scored 12 points in the first 6 minutes 😳.

He got a lot of rest in the second half. He wasn’t as sharp in the 2nd but came on in the end to help close the game for St. John’s.

He only had 1 steal this game but he played good defense overall.

🔴Dylan Addae-Wusu - 23 min, 8 pts, 2 reb, 1 ast, 2 stl, 2 TO

Addae-Wusu didn't do much in the 1st half. He played a lot of minutes in the 2nd half and made significant contributions. He is getting more comfortable driving the ball to the basket. He had some 3 pt looks he didn't take. He has been hesitant to shoot but if you are a shooter, you gotta shoot 🤷🏽‍♂️

This win gives St. John's its 1st 5 game win streak in Big East since 2013-2014 season

♨️ Cavaliers Cut Through Panthers 73-66 ♨️

🔵Femi Odukale - 21 min, 6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 turnover

Odukale played great in help defense in the first half. Not much offensively. In the 2nd half he made some nice moves to basket and he also made a three.

So far, Pitt HC Jeff Capel has made Odukale’s minutes directly tied to the performance of starting PG Xavier Johnson, instead of Odukale’s minutes being dictated by how he impacts the game overall. If Johnson is in foul trouble or ineffective, Odukale comes in. Pitt’s last game, Capel used Odukale as a ploy to get more out of Johnson; Johnson scored 32 points and started on Saturday

Odukale should be the starting PG and Johnson the starting SG. Odukale plays well on defense and is looking to run the offense and distribute the ball. Johnson tends to looks for his shot first. Johnson is a decent PG but he would be better served playing SG.

🔵Max Amadasun - DNP; he hasn’t played much all year. I wouldn’t be surprised if he transferred 💭.

♨️ Louisiana goes down @ Arkansas St. 83-77 ♨️

🔴Isaiah Richards - 7 min

Richards missed long jump shot in the 1st half. He had good patience on a post-up w/ the ball - got ”hockey assist”

He needs to produce more, offensively and defensively, if he wants more minutes.

♨️ Youngstown St. beats Robert Morris in OT 70-66 ♨️

🔵Enoch Cheeks - 8 min, 3 pts, 1 ast, 1 TO

I saw him play a couple minutes in the 1st half. He played solid defense; teammates aren’t looking his way offensively 🤔

♨️ UMass Coasts Past Rhode Island 75-63 ♨️

🚩Ronnie DeGray III - 35 min, 11 pts, 6 reb, 1 ast, 3 TO

DeGray played his usual steady game. He made some poor passes but his positive plays outweigh the 3 TO.

🚩Cairo McCrory - 29 min, 11 pts, 11 reb, 3 ast, 3 stl, 3 blk, 2 TO

Probably McCrory’s best game this season. He is active whenever he is on the floor. He plays with urgency. He goes after the ball 🏀. His individual offensive game is starting to come around also 💪🏽

🚩Dyondre Dominguez - 7 min, 3 pts, 1 reb, 1 TO

He got some minutes this game which is an improvement from “DNP”. DeGray and McCrory get more leeway than Dominguez when they make mistakes. He made one “mistake” [I couldn’t see the back-end of the play] on their defensive press. He was taken out of the game, after he scored a layup, got fouled and hit a FT. That could have been a moment where McCall pulls back that sub and let Dominguez play 🤷🏽‍♂️
